“Your Idol” KPOP DEMON HUNTERS is “GOLDEN” on Billboard Hot 100

The Huntrix and Saja Boys are absolutely crushing the music charts.

Billboard announced that worldwide icons Huntrix and Saja Boys debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 with their respective hit singles. In an ironic reflection of the movie, the Saja Boys debuted at No. 77 with their single “Your Idol,” four spots higher than the Huntrix at No. 81 with their single “Golden.” This marks the first Billboard chart entry for Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, SamUIL Lee, EJAE, Eudrey Nuna, and Rei Ami.

In the film, the Saja Boys perform “Your Idol” as the final song meant to break the Honmoon and free Gwi-Ma, while the Huntrix sing “Golden” earlier to create the Golden Honmoon.

Just earlier, KPop Demon Hunters debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the Billboard Soundtracks chart. The album has climbed Spotify charts since the movie’s release a few weeks ago and holds the #1 spot on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.

Fans and critics alike have praised KPop Demon Hunters for its music (obviously), animation quality, storytelling, and humor. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film follows the Huntrix—a trio of singers who save fans’ souls not only as the biggest K-Pop sensation but also as demon hunters. When the Huntrix get close to sealing the demons for good, a quintet of demons burst onto the scene as a K-Pop boy band called the Saja Boys.

The cast includes Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo as the speaking voices for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, while Ahn Hyoseop voices Jinu, the Saja Boys’ leader with a tortured past.
