At its “What’s New from Inklore” panel at Anime Expo 2026 on Friday, Inklore announced an English print edition of Tomoko Yamashita’s Ikoku Nikki and gave attendees a sneak peek at what else is on its 2027 release calendar.

Ikoku Nikki follows the reclusive novelist Makio, who takes in her orphaned teenage niece, Asa, and chronicles the changes that occur as they both adapt to a new routine together. The series has been adapted for the small screen with the Galaxy Award-winning Ikoku Nikki: Journal with Witch anime.

“I am so happy to announce the English-language version of Ikoku Nikki!” said Yamashita in a statement. “I am delighted and excited that this story, which I poured my heart into creating, will now reach even more people.”

The manga is slated for release in summer 2027, but Inklore has not yet announced the exact release window or pre-order details.

Also during its “What’s New from Inklore” panel, the publisher teased three titles for 2027, including King’s Maker: Triple Crown, Vol. 1, for which K-Comics Beat revealed the cover art on Tuesday.

In January, Eleceed, Vol. 1 by Jeho Son and ZHENA will hit shelves for the first time in English print, followed in February by Korean folklore-inspired Girls’ Love story Her Tale of Shim Chong, Vol. 1 by seri and biwan.

Stay tuned for more news from Inklore and Anime Expo ’26.
