During Thursday’s Anime Expo panel, “Animate Presents: Alien Stage – Live Talk & Special Announcement!” Chief Director VIVINOS and KANG PD shared exclusive insights about the multimedia project before officially revealing that Alien Stage is receiving an anime adaptation. The special announcement was revealed near the end of the panel through a slide reading, “Anime Adaptation Confirmed!” and shared on the official Alien Stage X account.
The account went live with its first post at 8:43 p.m. EDT presenting only a solid black image with white text that said, “The anime series now in production.” There are no further details on the Alien Stage anime production available as of writing. The post itself has garnered more than 3.8 million views.

Alien Stage is a multimedia project led by VIVINOS in collaboration with QMENG and produced by STUDIO LICO. The story follows Mizi, Sua, Till, Ivan, and Luka, who are all contestants in the 50th season of the Alien Stage. They must sing for survival because the loser faces immediate execution. The story is told through a series of animations on YouTube with supplementary comics published on the official Alien Stage X account.
