Netflix announces KPOP DEMON HUNTERS anniversary plans

Catch a screening or grab some merch to celebrate one year of KPDH

-

June 20 mars one year since KPop Demon Hunters exploded onto the scene and became Netflix’s most-streamed film of all time. To celebrate the anniversary of the Oscar-, Golden Globe-, and and Grammy Award-winning movie, Netflix has announced global theater screenings, activations, new merchandise, and more.

According to Netflix, KPDH has amassed more than 600 million views since its debut and it’s spent 52 weeks—a full calendar year—in Netflix’s Global Top 10. In the US, it was the most-streamed movie of 2025. The singalong lyric videos collected another 32 million views globally, and the soundtrack itself spent quite some time on the global Billboard charts.

It’s only appropriate that Netflix is going all-out for the first KPop Demon Hunters anniversary ahead of its upcoming global concert tour.

KPDH will return to theaters for a limited engagement to celebrate its 1-year anniversary in the U.S., South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Israel. Fans who want to see the movie on a big screen can check their local listings for a screening near them.

For those who can’t or don’t want to hit the theater, the official Netflix TikTok account will host a nine-hour livestream featuring multiple versions of the film on June 20. Viewers can tune in for the original movie, the Sing-Along edition, and the Korean and Brazilian Portuguese translations. The cast and filmmakers will make appearances alongside creators, fans, and influencers to provide commentary, show off animatics, and share special activations. Exclusive moments will also be revealed across Netflix’s social media channels.
