WIT Studios Reveals THE ONE PIECE Trailer Premiere

One Piece Remake News drops key visual and teaser trailer announcement in Twitter post.

-

Announced on the ONE PIECE Netflix X account (formerly Twitter), a key visual from the ONE PIECE anime remake from WIT Studios was dropped. Alongside that was an announcement that the teaser trailer for the remake is scheduled to be dropped on June 24th, 2026 at 10:00pm Japan time. Netflix’s TUDUM site touts “THE ONE PIECE will provide viewers with a fresh yet familiar experience, utilizing cutting-edge visual technology to reimagine Luffy’s adventures through the beloved East Blue Saga.”

Producing anime titles such as the first 3 seasons of Attack on Titan, season 1 of Vinland Saga, and Spy x Family, WIT Studio is set to drop the anime in February of 2027. While the ONE PIECE anime from Toei Animation is still ongoing with over 1,000 episodes, the aim of the Netflix adaptation is to encourage new fans to start fresh from the series’ humble beginnings with as little filler as possible alongside tackling the anime’s pacing issues. Good news for fans, the anime is scheduled to drop all 7 episodes at once upon its release and is expected to adapt roughly 50 chapters of The East Blue Saga.

No announcement for the voice cast has been released for the Japanese dub and it’s uncertain if the original voices for the anime will be reprising their roles in the new series, especially with Monkey D. Luffy’s actress Mayumi Tanaka’s ongoing health concerns.

The ONE PIECE manga was created by author Eiichiro Oda in 1997, following the adventures of main character Monkey D. Luffy as he journeys across the East Blue to live out his dream of becoming the king of all pirates. The series has spanned from its manga roots to multiple adaptations such as movie releases, a live action adaptation, video games, and a card game. Fans both new and old can read the manga on the Shonen Jump app or purchase the volumes on Amazon. The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll in both Japanese sub and English dub, and the live action version is available to stream on Netflix.
