KPOP DEMON HUNTERS star EJAE signs with WME following record-breaking success

EJAE, the singer-songwriter who brought KPop Demon Hunters to life through her powerful voice and music, has officially signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.

The artist served as both the singing voice of main character Rumi and a key creative force behind the film’s chart-topping soundtrack. EJAE co-wrote several standout tracks, including “Golden,” “How It’s Done,” “What It Sounds Like,” and “Your Idol”—the last performed by the rival in-universe boy group Saja Boys. She also wrote “Hunter’s Mantra,” a haunting piece that underscores the movie’s central themes.

In an interview with Variety, EJAE credited her bilingual background as one of her greatest creative strengths. “I never had the goal to be a pop star,” she said. “I’m more melodically driven, and I love weaving the works of songwriters who inspire me into my own.”

The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack made history as the first ever to land four songs simultaneously in the Billboard Top 10. “Golden” held the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks—the longest-running chart-topper by an animated act in history.

EJAE’s work continues to earn industry recognition. Named one of Variety’s “10 Artisans to Watch in Songwriting,” she’s set to be honored at the upcoming SCAD Savannah Film Festival. She recently performed “Golden” with HUNTR/X on The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live, further cementing her presence in mainstream entertainment.

“Golden” won Best Original Soundtrack at the K-World Dream Awards and earned a Song of the Summer nomination at the MTV VMAs. Beyond film, EJAE has written and vocal-directed hits for Aespa (“Drama,” “Armageddon”), Red Velvet (“Psycho”), and other top K-Pop artists, including LE SSERAFIM, TWICE, Taeyeon, NMIXX, and FIFTY FIFTY.

Looking ahead, EJAE hopes to expand her film scoring career, saying she dreams of one day composing for a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel or even a James Bond film. With her new WME partnership, those ambitions may soon become reality.
