Famed BL Japanese manga author, Ayano Yamane, has been terminated from her work on the manga adaptation of The Husky and His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun (also abbreviated as 2ha or Erha) danmei series. The original novel series and audiobook is published under Seven Seas Entertainment in the United States.
Qianhe Xingyao Cultural Creative, the series’ IP holder, announced on Chinese social media sites, Sina and Weibo, that it has terminated all ties with Yamane over her alleged anti-Korean and anti-Chinese microagressions.
The team behind the manga adaptation of the beloved danmei series was only announced on August 16th, 2026. An early preview of manga print was set to drop on August 28th before its full chapter release in print on October 28th. Serialization would have started in December and serialized in the monthly BL magazine, Be x Boy. This also happened to be the same magazine that Yamane’s famous manga, Finder, was serialized in. It’s unclear if Nanao Takaoka, who was in charge of storyboards, was also impacted from the backlash against Yamane.

Immediately after the initial announcement, fans reacted with screenshots and links to Yamane’s posts stemming from 2011 to 2016 that show supposed examples of what they deemed as controversial microaggressive posts.
Accounts on X (formerly Twitter) have pulled from her X posts from earlier this year and others from over a decade account, documenting a supposed pattern of underhanded incendiary words against Korea and China. Users describe Yamane’s posts as allegedly using Korean and Chinese stereotypes to negatively talk down on both countries and its people. According to the accusing accounts, the links to her original posts can’t be found because she might have possibly deleted them.
