HUNTR/X “Golden” returns to #1 as KPOP DEMON HUNTERS soundtrack dominates global charts

With “Golden” and “Soda Pop” climbing the Billboard Global charts, HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys are proving K-Pop-powered animation is more than a passing trend.

The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack continues its chart-topping domination, with standout singles from fictional in-film groups HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys making waves across the globe.

HUNTR/X’s anthem “Golden” has reclaimed the No. 1 spot on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, with a surge in popularity pushing it to 98.5 million streams and 8,000 sales worldwide between July 18–24. The single, voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, had already made history as HUNTR/X’s first No. 1 on the charts just two weeks prior.

Meanwhile, their follow-up track, “How It’s Done,” is gaining ground fast—climbing to No. 10 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 7 on the Global 200. With 29 million streams outside the U.S. and a 6% increase in sales, HUNTR/X is securing its place as one of this year’s breakout acts in the global music space, even if their existence is animated.

Not to be outdone, fellow fictional group the Saja Boys are making their mark with “Soda Pop,” which climbed to No. 5 on the Global 200. The sugary hit notched 51.6 million streams and 4,000 sales—both up from the previous week—becoming the group’s second top-five entry after the success of “Your Idol,” which peaked at No. 3.

These chart gains further cement the cultural impact of KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix original animated film produced by Sony that’s brought new energy—and undeniable talent—to the intersection of music, animation, and K-Pop. With both HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys releasing singles that rival real-world idol groups, the soundtrack’s success signals a promising new lane for K-Pop storytelling.
