Marvel has announced a new webcomic series, Realmguard Infinity Comic, debuting today on Marvel Unlimited. The series is written by Preeti Chhibber, illustrated by Lorenzo Tammetta, colored by Ron Fernandes, and lettered by Joe Sabino, with character designs by Tammetta and Peach Momoko.
Realmguard puts a high fantasy spin on the Marvel Universe, transporting characters to the kindgom of Kironia. Here’s the synopsis for issue #1:
In the kingdom of Kironia, a high-fantasy version of the Marvel Universe, traveling bards known as the Silk-Tongued Spider (Peter Parker) and Lady Jackpot (Mary Jane) find themselves separated and caught in a plot involving a burned village, a missing prince, and a false king! In this web of lies and conflict, will Peter and Mary Jane be able to find each other again?

In an interview with Marvel.com, Chhibber said Kironia is going through a particularly rough patch. “Prince Steve Rogers is missing, the King is being weird, and Peter and MJ are trying to get by as local bards when MJ is suddenly called away… (dun dun dunnn),” she revealed. “Really though, this is some of our favorite Marvel characters in tabletop gaming inspired fantasy setting, which—as someone who has been playing the same campaign with her friends for going on five years now—was so, so fun to create.”
