Under the Oak Tree Season 5 has officially debuted on Manta! The beloved romantasy webcomic series adapted from author Suji Kim’s original webnovel, Under the Oak Tree, returned with the first episode of its new season on November 22.

Following events in Season 4, Season 5 “will delve deeper into Maxi and Riftan’s evolving relationship as they face new trials, political intrigue, and the lingering scars of their pasts,” per the synopsis from Manta. New episodes will release every Sunday.

Under the Oak Tree follows the disgraced Lady Maximilian Croyso, whose father forces her into marriage with the lowborn knight Sir Riftan. Following a rough wedding night, Riftan leaves immediately to help with the war effort and doesn’t return for three years. When he does, he takes her to his estate in Anatol, where she has to reconcile this version of her husband with the man she met years ago.

Since its debut, Under the Oak Tree has been one of Manta’s most popular titles. Penguin Random House imprint Inklore published a physical version of Volume 1 in 2024, making both the New York Times and USA Today bestseller listsVolume 2 was released earlier this year.
