LE SSERAFIM are back with a bold new sound—and a surprise feature from BTS’s j-hope. The five-member girl group released their first single album, SPAGHETTI, on October 24, marking a playful new chapter in their music career.
Following the record-breaking success of their fifth mini-album HOT, which made them the fastest K-Pop girl group to earn four consecutive Top 10 entries on the Billboard 200, LE SSERAFIM’s latest project adds a “fresh twist” to their confident image. The two-track single album channels a mix of wit, charisma, and funk-pop flair designed to “entangle listeners like strands of spaghetti.”
The lead track, “SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS),” blends alternative funk-pop with cheeky lyrics and energetic choreography. j-hope’s effortless charisma and laid-back rap style perfectly complement LE SSERAFIM’s edgy vocals. Members Sakura and Huh Yunjin are credited as lyricists on the track—a first for a BTS member’s feature on a K-Pop girl group song.
The song’s music video, directed by celebrated photographer Wontae Go in his directorial debut, transforms an ordinary restaurant into a surreal dreamscape. From floating ingredients and exaggerated kitchen scenes to a set decorated with oversized spaghetti plates, the video serves up a feast for the eyes. Each member showcases a bold new look, including bleached brows, orange hair, and smoky makeup, emphasizing the group’s fearless aesthetic.
“We still can’t forget the moment we shot the tomato sauce scene—it really felt like showering in tomato sauce!” LE SSERAFIM shared. “Since we worked with real spaghetti on set, it’s become one of the dishes we’re most comfortable with.”
The group’s choreography, inspired by the song’s playful lyrics—“Stuck in your mind, that’s SSERAFIM”—adds to the track’s irresistible energy. j-hope’s guest verse and glowing cameo bring the final touch of flavor to the performance.
SPAGHETTI follows LE SSERAFIM’s successful EASY CRAZY HOT world tour, which included 29 shows across 18 cities and seven sold-out performances in North America. The group also made history as the first K-pop girl group to perform on America’s Got Talent.
With past collaborations including JVKE, PinkPantheress, JADE, and Nile Rodgers, LE SSERAFIM continues to redefine what it means to be “fearless” in K-Pop. Their latest release cements their reputation as one of the most inventive and genre-blending acts in the industry.
SPAGHETTI is available now on all major streaming platforms.
