The demons are back—and this time, they want you to sing along.
Netflix announced that its breakout animated hit KPop Demon Hunters will return to theaters for a limited Halloween engagement, complete with sing-along screenings from October 31 through November 2. Fans are encouraged to bring their best stage outfits and belt out hits like “Golden,” “Your Idol,” and “Soda Pop” alongside the fierce and fabulous members of HUNTR/X.
The screenings mark another major milestone for KPop Demon Hunters, which has become a global sensation since its streaming debut earlier this year. The fantasy-action film follows three K-Pop idols—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—who balance their lives as global superstars and secret demon hunters, protecting fans from supernatural threats with the power of music.
The sing-along screenings will take place across AMC, Regal, and Cinemark theaters—a rare move for Netflix, which traditionally keeps its releases digital-only. This re-release also signals a notable shift for AMC, which initially opted out of the film’s August run but will now host KPop Demon Hunters in roughly 400 locations across the U.S. and Europe.
When the movie’s first theatrical sing-along event dropped in August, it topped the U.S. box office, pulling in a surprising $18 million during its two-day run. Since then, KPop Demon Hunters has broken multiple records, becoming Netflix’s most-watched original movie to date and inspiring a dedicated fandom that’s as active online as they are in theaters.
With KPop Demon Hunters back in theaters and buzz building for its upcoming sequel, it’s clear Netflix has struck gold—or maybe glitter. Whether you’re singing your heart out or discovering the film for the first time, HUNTR/X’s high-energy world of music, monsters, and girl power is the perfect treat for Halloween weekend. Just don’t be surprised if you walk out ready to form your own demon-fighting idol group.
