Rosmei is gearing up for a major rollout of its fan-favorite danmei series, Tailhook.

In a teaser celebrating its third anniversary, the Singapore-based publisher unveiled a packed release schedule for Tailhook. The first wave of merchandise—“Long Night”—will drop between 2026 and 2027. The official English translation of the physical novel will take flight in 2026. E-books are also on the horizon, though Rosmei has not confirmed if they’ll launch alongside the physical edition. Most excitingly, Rosmei announced that an audiobook adaptation is in the works, with production slated to begin in 2027.

The audiobook news has thrilled fans, with some already joking about buying tickets in anticipation. In replies on X, Rosmei clarified that the audiobook will include “spicy” scenes and feature English narration. The publisher also hinted at future audio adaptations for other series, noting, “We’ll decide whether to produce an audiobook or an audio drama based on the content of each book.”

For those unfamiliar with the distinction: an audiobook typically features a single narrator reading the story, while an audio drama is more like a TV show without visuals, often including music, sound effects, and a full voice cast. Many danmei novels have already received audio drama adaptations in Chinese.

Rosmei first announced its English license of Tailhook during its 2025–2026 licensing reveal. Written by La Rive Gauche, Tailhook follows two pilots with a turbulent romantic history. According to the NovelUpdates summary, they went on three dates before sleeping together, made love three times before breaking up, and spent three years apart before getting married. Though Tailhook is a standalone volume, Rosmei will include an exclusive extra chapter in its release.

Tailhook is a spinoff of The Approach, which is licensed for English release by Haitang Books.
