Mo Dao Zu Shi: Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation will receive a deluxe hardcover collection edition.
One of the very first danmei titles Seven Seas Entertainment licensed was Mo Dao Zu Shi: Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which helped launch the publisher’s expansion into English-language danmei. The series will now be released as a deluxe hardcover edition, complete with a dust jacket featuring all-new art and foil lettering. The hardcover will also showcase a new foil illustration against a linen-textured surface, elaborate printed edges, and a ribbon bookmark.
Mo Dao Zu Shi: Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation was part of the trio of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu danmei series announced on August 4, 2021, along with Tian Guan Ci Fu: Heaven Official’s Blessing and Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong: The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System. All three series debuted on the New York Times Best Sellers list for Paperback Trade Fiction in their first week, with Heaven Official’s Blessing at #8, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation at #9, and The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System at #14. Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation consists of five volumes.
Seven Seas also publishes the manhua adaptation and the official artbook for the live-action series The Untamed. The donghua adaptation is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
The second danmei series written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, Mo Dao Zu Shi follows Wei Wuxian, a clever and gifted cultivator whose unconventional methods set him apart from his peers. Heaven Official’s Blessing was the first Seven Seas danmei title to receive a deluxe hardcover edition, which launched on December 3, 2024. The deluxe edition of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Volume 1 releases in October 2025 for $29.99 USD / $39.99 CAD.
