The Crunchyroll Showcase panel at Anime Expo 2026 on Friday closed with the announcement of Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a direct continuation of the events from Season 2 of the anime. A concept video, key visual, and initial production details were also revealed.
The film is being co-produced by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C Media, and Kakkao Piccoma. A-1 Pictures is returning to animate the film. The announcement marks the first feature-length film in the Solo Leveling anime series.
The concept video with narration by Sung Jinwoo’s voice actor, Taito Ban, blends live action, CGI, and 2D animation. It featured scenic views of the beach, cityscapes, dragons, mysterious gates, and finally, Sung Jinwoo overlooking the ocean with an army of his shadow soldiers.
Crunchyroll did not announce a release date.

Solo Leveling is based on the 2016 web novel written by Chu-Gong and the 2018 Webtoon published on Kakao. The story follows Sung Jinwoo, a low-ranked hunter who must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation. After surviving a powerful dungeon which killed his entire party, he is given an extremely rare ability to level up in strength, due to being chosen by a mysterious program called the System. The series follows Jinwoo as he must battle both man and monster to discover the secrets of the dungeons and the source of his powers.
