From webtoons to webnovels, Manta aims to be an all-in-one story platform with its latest inclusion of manga. In response to the growing hunger for online content, the webcomics platform announced that as of April 7th, it will be expanding into the realm of manga. With this announcement, it announced a number of big franchises on its upcoming slate, including The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, WIND BREAKER, and Medalist.
After revealing plans to produce microdramas and other adaptations, Manta continues to broaden its library to capture a growing audience. It will be running a partner promotion with Japanese publisher Kodansha, where readers can “receive up to 90% off the first volume of more than 400 titles, along with Gems awarded to all participants, redeemable toward content purchases, from April 7 to 20 (U.S. Eastern Time).”
Webcomics, webnovels, and manga each have their own unique identity. Manta will continue to strengthen content competitiveness so that more stories can be enjoyed broadly within a single ecosystem—without having to move between platforms.
