Ahead of its 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company announced it will be air a program called, Pokémon Presents at 6:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. GMT / 3:00 p.m. CET on February 27th, 2026. This will be to celebrate Pokémon Day, an annual holiday commemorating the release of the Japanese release of the first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green. The video presentation teases updates and announcements across the Pokémon franchise on the company’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
Fans already noticed that Pokémon Fire Red Version and Pokémon Leaf Green Version were already coming to the Nintendo Switch ahead of its official release on Feb. 27, 2026. The 2004 game will be coming to the Switch and Switch 2 systems as download-exclusive titles to celebrate the company’s 30 years.
This year’s Pokémon Day is gearing up to be an exciting one, especially as it has spent a large amount towards promoting the brand in a “What’s Your Favorite?” commercial during this past Super Bowl.
