Samsung has unveiled what many are calling the perfect ad.
Released a week ago, the commercial stars HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys from Netflix’s hit film KPop Demon Hunters. The two groups bow respectfully to each other to the point of folding in half—perfect symbolism for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7, the smartphone designed like a flip phone. The spot closes with the slogans “Make every flip count” and “Pocket-perfect” while highlighting Jinu and Rumi, the leaders of their respective idol groups.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise, writing: “The marketing is SUBLIME,” “Best Samsung ad,” “KPop Samsung Hunters,” and “I’d rather have that kind of marketing on my YouTube ads instead of whatever slop we’re getting nowadays.” Even Best Buy’s official Instagram account chimed in, calling it “Flip-worthy.”
KPop Demon Hunters exploded onto the scene this summer after its Netflix premiere, breaking streaming records and climbing music charts with its OST. The film follows the fictional K-Pop girl group HUNTR/X, idols by day and demon hunters by night. Their mission to seal the Honmoon faces unexpected trouble when rival idol group the Saja Boys arrive—not just as musical rivals, but as demons aiming to steal fans’ souls.
