The young monarch returns in a Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Season 2 tease.
D&C WEBTOON has dropped a tantalizing teaser for the return of a highly anticipated series, revealing only a shadowy silhouette—its only splash of color coming from a pair of familiar glowing eyes. Although the publisher hasn’t explicitly named the series, fans can instantly recognize Sung Suho from his windswept hair and chiseled features—even with his face obscured. While no release date has been confirmed, the announcement promises that Season 2 is on its way.

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is the official spin-off of the wildly popular webnovel Solo Leveling. While the original author Chugong did not pen the spin-off, he expressed strong support for Daul, who took the reins for this continuation. The webnovel premiered on KakaoPage on April 10, 2023, and concluded on July 23, 2025, with 375 chapters and nearly 79 million views.
The story centers on Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in’s son, Sung Suho. Although born with the powers of the Shadow Monarch, Suho’s abilities were sealed so he could live a normal life. Years later, Suho is a third-year university student, and both of his parents have mysteriously vanished. As the newly chosen Player of the System, Suho begins to uncover the truth behind his origins—and the fate of his parents.
The novel inspired a webcomic adaptation, which premiered on July 31, 2024. Developed by REDICE Studio, with story adaptation by Dangdo and illustrations by Jin, the first season concluded on April 3, 2025, after 47 episodes.
The Solo Leveling franchise continues to dominate globally. In addition to its beloved webcomic (originally illustrated by the late DUBU), it has inspired a two-season award-winning anime, a role-playing game (Solo Leveling: Arise), and an upcoming live-action adaptation starring Byeon Woo-seok.
Both the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webnovel and webcomic are available on Tapas.
