LOTTO 1ST PLACE WINNER GOES TO WORK TOO hits the jackpot with drama adaptation

Not Gong Eun Tae. In the webnovel-turned-webcomic Lotto 1st Place Winner Goes to Work Too, this unassuming office worker keeps clocking in at his day job even after hitting the jackpot. The only real change? His newfound wealth alters his perspective on work, friendships, and family life.

The story is now getting a live-action drama adaptation with a 10-episode run on TVING. Casting offers have been extended to Lee Jun Hyuk, Seo Hyun Woo, and Ok Ja Yeon. Lee is being courted to play Gong Eun Tae, the youngest team leader at his company. Seo has been offered the role of Yang, the assistant manager who ironically joined the company a year earlier but now works under Gong. Ok’s potential role has not been disclosed. All three actors are reportedly reviewing their offers or awaiting agency confirmation.

Lee Jun Hyuk is known for his role as Seo Dong-jae in Stranger and has appeared in Designated Survivor: 60 Days, Vigilante, Love Scout, and recently made a cameo in Mercy for None. Seo Hyun Woo rose to fame in Flower of Evil (2020) and won the New Actor Award at the Director’s Cut Awards for Decision to Leave (2022). He has also played supporting roles in A Shop for Killers and Seoul Busters. Ok Ja Yeon broke out as the antagonist in Mine (2021) and has since appeared in The Veil, Big Mouth, and Under the Queen’s Umbrella. She won Best Actress at the Jeonju International Film Festival for The Archaeology of Love.

The original webnovel of Lotto 1st Place Winner Goes to Work Too by Seo In-ha ran from 2019 to 2020, and Yoo Geuk-jo’s webcomic adaptation launched on Naver WEBTOON in 2024. Unfortunately, neither version is currently available in English.
