Manta rings in the new year with new romantasy for January

Happy 2025! The new year has arrived and with it, Manta comes bearing new series for fans to read.

Some of these titles include new romantasy stories including Lift My Curse, Sir Knight and a highly anticipated BL webcomic called Honbul: Flame of the Soul. Die Melusine has returned with Season 2 and Finding Camellia is making people swoon and “aww” with their new side stories.

My Angelic Husband is actually a Devil in Disguise

Setia accepts the marriage contract offer from Miere Lunaria, a rich but dim-witted bachelor, only because she needs the money to get out of her family’s debt. Looks can be very deceiving in My Angelic Husband is actually a Devil in Disguise and Setia will soon find out just how deceptive they are when she reunites with her husband. Originally written by Hiella/WOONGJIN THINKBIG, the story was turned into a webcomic with Nyamm presiding as the adaptation writer and HaeMyang as the artist. NHN produced the story. The Gem-only series released on January 9, 2025.

HONBUL: Flame of the Soul

The Exorcism Agency is a state-run secret organization whose mission is to protect humans from demonic possession. Taehee Yoon, an exorcist from the Execution Department, is looking for a “genius” who can see and hear ghosts to be his new subordinate. While operating undercover at a high school he meets a mysterious boy… “By the way, how old are you, buddy?”

HONBUL: Flame of the Soul is a webcomic adaptation of a very popular BL novel written by toldju. The supernatural BL series has a multitude of tags to its name including a revenge plot, a lot of scheming, and first love, but judging by the pacing, Honbul will be a slow-burn kind of romance so BL fans will have to be patient and sit tight for this exciting ride. The series released 20 episodes on January 17, 2025.

Lift My Curse, Sir Knight

Lift My Curse, Sir Knight was originally written by handgold but has been turned into a webcomic by Manta Comics. The romantasy story featues knights, angst, beauty, and secret identities and will come out on January 24, 2025.

The Billionaire’s Replacement Wife

River knew she was a replacement when she agreed to marry the billionaire, Noah De Marco. She’d give birth to his dead lover’s children, warm his bed at nights, and even raise the babies with him. She will be his only woman but he will never love her. River agreed, secretly hoping… someday he’d change.

Written by missrealitybites with illustration by Hanira, The Billionaire’s Replacement Wife will have an all-ages and mature version released on January 27, 2025. The series will be a Gem-only work so unfortunately Manta subscribers will still need to purchase Gems to read it.

Dead Girl Walking

Written by jojoohee and illustrated by DODO, this time travel romantasy tale is a gem-only Manta series. Readers can experience the ups and downs of Dead Girl Walking on January 22, 2025 when it releases.

We need more mermaid stories, clearly. Die Melusine, written originally by Cherie Yoon was turned into a webcomic by Manta Comics and launched six episodes on May 24, 2024. Season 1 concluded on November 29 with 33 episodes and premiered the second season on January 5, 2025.

When Fate Finds Us

Everyone loves a good forbidden romance and Manta Comics’ original story When Fate Finds Us is no exception. Season 1 released on September 18, 2023, and Season 2 released on April 5, 2024, and concluded on Oct 25. The third season released on January 12, 2025.
