WordExcerpt, a publisher of Korean novels in English, announced on their X account (formerly Twitter) that readers can once again purchase their books through Amazon Books. Their post on X urges readers to “stay tuned” as “announcements for each series are coming soon.”
WordExcerpt publishes popular titles like Hong Heesu’s Daddy, I Don’t Want to Marry! (also known as Father, I Don’t Want This Marriage), Yoo Iran’s A Villainess for the Tyrant and Ryu Hang’s Light & Shadow. Fans noticed the titles disappeared from Amazon around 2022, making their return a significant moment for readers.
WordExcerpt launched an imprint called Astral Rabbit Publishing in 2023, managing it as an independent entity. Both companies license, translate, edit and publish Korean novels for English-speaking audiences. Astral Rabbit also plans to distribute light novels, audiobooks and other derivative works.
Moreover, in 2021 they partnered with TappyToon in addition to managing Astral Rabbit Publishing, working together to make Korean novels more accessible to readers worldwide. TappyToon also hosts webcomics for several WordExcerpt titles, including Father, I Don’t Want This Marriage, Light & Shadow and more.
Fans of Korean novels can purchase WordExcerpt’s localized titles through Amazon Books.
