Mickey Mouse and the friends will be part of their most exciting partnership yet! In partnership with WEBTOON, The Walt Disney Company is releasing Mickey X Formula 1 Racing to the Top! during the F1 Australia Grand Prix on March 6th. The series will be available on WEBTOON’s international platforms, and updating throughout the F1 season. New episodes will launch on every race weekend, and the comic’s story aims to visualize the thrilling excitement of racing.
Designed for a new generation of fans, the series will introduce new characters, themes, and scenarios that blend the creativity and imagination of Mickey & Friends with the excitement and drama of Formula 1.
In this original series inspired by the high-octane thrills and teamwork of elite racing, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy come together to help support a racing team in crisis, demonstrating the power of friendship and collaboration to overcome adversity.
This partnership aims to showcase Mickey & Friends in the thrilling world of Formula 1®, and “designed for a new generation of digital-first fans.” Yesterday’s announcement is another example of how the two companies are working together to expand franchises into “mobile-native storytelling.”
