-

Tokyo police arrested four men including XG producer Junho Sakai AKA Simon on Monday on suspicion of violating the company’s narcotics laws. The group was taken into custody for allegedly possessing four bags of cocaine and one bag of marijuana.

Police also arrested Yudai Hasegawa and Noritoshi Yanagawa of the entertainment conglomerate Avex, which hosts the annual A-Nation series of summer concerts in Japan and manages artists including Ayumi Hamasaki and Hitomi.

The arrests took place around 12:20 a.m. at a hotel in Aichi Prefecture on Monday. According to The Japan Times, Tokyo police have been investigating the case after receiving an anonymous tip in March of 2025.

This news has attracted attention particularly because XG is currently on a world tour and performed in Nagoya on Sunday. The group’s debut album, The Core – 核, hit shelves in January.
