Two-and-a-half years after its conclusion, WEBTOON has posted a promotional animated trailer for Lee Yone‘s horror webcomic series, Surviving Romance on Valentine’s Day. Animated by Studio PPURI, and featuring the song AREA FUMATORI by 재생 (feat. Syepias), the combined view count between PPURI and WEBTOON’s official posting surpassed 150K organic views.
Although there’s no indication that there’s more to the promotional video, social media reactions range from excitement and cries for a full animated series. The original Korean webtoon finished in 2023, and its English translation received over 44 million cumulative views on the WEBTOON site. On the other hand, Studio PPURI has worked on other high profile animations, such as Solo Leveling‘s first season opening sequence and TO BE HERO X‘s opening movie.
