K-pop inspires the lead story in this year’s ARCHIE’S VALENTINE’S SPECTACULAR one-shot

The Spirit Slayers don't need a fifth member... or do they?

-

Archie’s Valentine’s Spectacular (2026) #1 will feature a K-pop inspired story this February, including the return of the villain Shinji from the Sabrina the Teenage Witch: The Magic Within manga series by Tania Del Rio.

In “Spirit Slayers in Love” from Archie’s Valentine’s Spectacular (2026) #1, Sabrina, Josie, Betty, and Veronica are “A-pop” (Archie-pop) idols in a K-pop-inspired, alternate universe.

Written by Holly G with pencils by Steven Butler, inks by Lily Butler, colors by Glenn Whitmore, and letters by Jack Morelli, the story pays homage to KPop Demon Hunters as the Spirit Slayers are targeted by the spirits of Ego, Envy, and Darkness—and Shinji tries to join the group! The group’s manager, Archie, and his buddy, Salem, think something fishy is going on… and they’re absolutely right.

Check out a preview from “Spirit Slayers in Love,” as well as cover art for the Valentine’s Day one-shot, below.
