Penguin Random House has announced a collaboration with Netflix to release a line of KPop Demon Hunters books and comics under its Random House Children’s Books, Random House Worlds, and Penguin Young Readers imprints starting at the end of December.

The following children’s books have been announced with release dates:

December 30

March 31, 2026

A Mad Libs book from Penguin Young Readers will be also be available, though a release date has not been announced.

Meanwhile, adult fans can look forward to a “sophisticated” coloring book in fall 2026 and a manhwa adaptation of KPop Demon Hunters in 2027 from Random House Worlds, which also publishes licensed titles from the worlds of Dungeons & DragonsCritical Role, and more.

Editors and executives from the three imprints will head up the KPDH publishing program, including Random House Worlds editor Katelyn Hemmeke and assistant editor Lydia Estrada; Random House Children’s Books director of editorial Geof Smith and senior editor Meg Conover; and Penguin Young Readers vice president and publisher of brands and licenses Daniel Moreton and Mad Libs executive editor Brian Clark. Random House Children’s Books senior vice president and editor-in-chief of licensed publishing Chris Angelilli will supervise the program overall.

“This universe is already rich with music, style, humor, and heart, and our teams across PRH are deeply excited to bring that spirit to the page,” Angelilli said.

Books and comics based on KPop Demon Hunters are a natural fit following the film’s unprecedented success, especially given the close relationship between animation and illustration. Netflix claims it is the most-watched movie in the streaming giant’s history, and the Grammy-nominated soundtrack has garnered more than 8 million streams since its release.

A sequel has been announced for 2029, which will feel less far away with these published works releasing in the interim.
