Ize Press reveals the striking cover for SEMANTIC ERROR, vol. 5

Sangwoo takes the spotlight in the cover for Volume 5.

-

Ize Press has officially revealed the cover for Semantic Error, Vol. 5—and perhaps slightly more expressive than Sangwoo himself.

The new cover features Sangwoo framed by a collage of stickers, including an emoji with eyes glancing left, a bursting sticker emblazoned with “YES YES YES,” a pointing hand, and washi tape that reads #ANARCHY and #WARNING. The playful yet chaotic design mirrors Sangwoo’s growing internal conflict as he wrestles with his feelings for Jaeyoung.

The caption accompanying the reveal reads, “Getting rid of the semantic error that is Jaeyoung was all Sangwoo wanted for the longest time…so why does he feel so heartbroken at the thought of a life without him?”

Written by J. Soori and illustrated by Angy, Semantic Error follows computer science major Chu Sangwoo, a man so regimented that he could be mistaken for a robot. His ordered world spirals into chaos when he crosses paths with Jang Jaeyoung, a free-spirited campus celebrity determined to get revenge after Sangwoo sabotages their group project. What begins as a clash of opposites soon evolves into something deeper—a true “semantic error” in Sangwoo’s perfectly coded life.

Semantic Error, Vol. 5 releases in print and digital in February 2026. Pre-orders are available now at izepress.com.
