WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. reported stronger-than-expected financial results for the second quarter of 2025, posting revenue of $348.3 million, an 8.5% increase year-over-year. On a constant currency basis, revenue rose 5.5%, driven by growth across Paid Content, Advertising, and IP Adaptations.
The company narrowed its net loss to $3.9 million, a sharp improvement from the $76.6 million loss during the same quarter last year. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $9.7 million, and WEBTOON closed the quarter with $581.5 million in cash and no debt.
Founder and CEO Junkoo Kim said the results underscored the company’s continued momentum. “WEBTOON Entertainment has become the global destination for comics of all kinds,” Kim noted, highlighting recent app updates that aim to improve story discovery and engagement.
Looking ahead, the company projected third-quarter revenue growth of 9.4%–12.2% on a constant currency basis, with expectations of $380–$390 million in revenue. Adjusted EBITDA is forecasted between $2 million and $7 million.
In addition to its earnings report, WEBTOON announced a major collaboration with Disney that will bring comics from Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Studios, and 20th Century Studios to its vertical-scroll format.
With more than 155 million monthly active users and partnerships ranging from Netflix to HYBE and DC Comics, WEBTOON continues to expand its influence as both a creative platform and a driver of global pop culture.
