Fictional girl group Huntrix (also stylized as HUNTR/X) has become the first female K-Pop group to earn a No. 1 hit in Billboard Hot 100 history.

Huntrix, the demon-hunting K-Pop girl group from Netflix‘s hit film KPop Demon Hunters, has gone from strength to strength on the charts. In July, they reached No. 2 on the U.S. Spotify charts with their song “Golden,” surpassing real-life iconic girl group BLACKPINK. Additionally, one of their songs landed at No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100. The soundtrack album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Soundtracks chart. “How It’s Done” climbed to No. 10 on the Global Excl. Chart and No. 7 on the Global 200. These Billboard entries marked the first chart appearances for vocalists EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who provide vocals for Huntrix.

The soundtrack isn’t the only success story—the film, which follows Huntrix as K-Pop idols who hunt demons by night, face off against fellow K-Pop idol group the Saja Boys (who are actually demons), and light up the golden Honmoon, has repeatedly broken Netflix records. It has become one of the streamer’s most-watched films ever and climbed to No. 4 on the all-time English-language movies chart. Since its June 20 debut, the film has been watched over 158 million times, surpassing countless blockbusters. The only title to outperform it that week was Happy Gilmore 2, with 40.8 million views in its first full week. Additionally, the film will head to theaters for the first time at the end of August in a special sing-along format, giving fans the chance to belt out their favorite songs from the movie.
