SEVENTEEN, UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Youth, marked International Youth Day with a $250,000 donation to the Global Youth Grant Scheme “Going Together – For Youth Creativity and Well-Being.”
The funds were raised through “JOOPITER presents: sacai x SEVENTEEN,” a charity auction held in partnership with Japanese fashion brand sacai and JOOPITER, the digital commerce platform founded by UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Pharrell Williams. The auction featured exclusive items worn or inspired by SEVENTEEN, including a custom leather jacket designed by sacai, a T-shirt signed by 11 members, custom Labubu blind boxes, and necklaces by designer Yoon Ahn.

Launched in 2023, the Global Youth Grant Scheme, jointly operated by SEVENTEEN and UNESCO, funds youth-led projects worldwide in the areas of creativity and well-being. To date, it has supported 100 initiatives across 70 countries.
“Since our debut, we’ve expressed the colorful moments of youth through music that reflects our genuine experiences and emotions,” SEVENTEEN said in a statement. “International Youth Day holds deep meaning for us, and we send our heartfelt support to all young people who are pushing toward their dreams.”
The donation builds on SEVENTEEN’s ongoing collaboration with UNESCO. Last year, they became the first K-Pop group to speak and perform at the UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris, and they pledged $1 million to launch the grant scheme.
SEVENTEEN will continue their youth-focused mission during their upcoming SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_], starting September 13–14 in Korea, with stops in Hong Kong, the U.S., and Japan later this year.
