THE BEGINNING AFTER THE END Kickstarter fully funds in under 15 minutes

Rocketship Entertainment’s campaign for TurtleMe’s hit webnovel smashes expectations with deluxe print editions and exclusive merch.

In April, The Beginning After the End creator TurtleMe announced at SakuraCon that his popular webnovel series would be released in print through a Kickstarter campaign organized by Rocketship Entertainment. Just a few months later, in July, Rocketship confirmed that the campaign would officially launch on August 5, offering fans both softcover and deluxe hardcover editions featuring exclusive illustrations.

The Kickstarter campaign covers Volumes 1 through 3 and includes exclusive merchandise such as a blind box enamel pin set and a collector’s gift box, which contains an acrylic standee, a replica of the Dawn’s Ballad sword, and detailed maps of Alacrya and Dicathen.

Excitingly, the campaign was fully funded in under 15 minutes after launch. Rocketship Entertainment took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news and encourage fans to pre-order the premium editions of Volumes 1–3 to help unlock additional campaign stretch goals.

The Beginning After the End first debuted on RoyalRoad before moving to Tapas, where then-editor Gabrielle Luu scouted the story. Inspired by wuxia and series like Mushoku Tensei, the story follows a powerful king who is reincarnated as a baby after his assassination. Since its debut, the series has earned nearly 28 million views on the webnovel platform.

Fans can still support the campaign, with tiers starting as low as $1 (no reward) and going up to $199 for the deluxe hardcover bundle. The bundle includes the hardcover illustration edition featuring 10 full-color original illustrations, a debossed 14-karat gold and mother-of-pearl cover with a die-cut barn door design, gilded edges, and a leather-bound slipcase secured by a replica alloy sword.
