Tappytoon launches original BL webcomic BULLET TIME

A spicy new BL webcomic hit Tappytoon.

Contents First, the company behind the webcomic platform, announced it will release a new original BL series titled Bullet Time, featuring the dangerously smexy relationship between a gangster and a spy. Writer BINO teams up with illustrator Dark History for this bold new story, which will update with new episodes every Friday. An audio teaser and preview video are available below:

To celebrate the launch of Bullet Time, BINO shared, “I’m delighted to introduce Felix and Seven to readers through Tappytoon. We’ve prepared this series for a long time, and it represents a fresh approach within the BL genre. We hope readers enjoy the ride.”

While Bullet Time includes some familiar tropes, its dynamic between Seven—the third-in-command of the Golden Bite gangster family who’d rather sleep around than work—and his trusted-partner-turned-traitor-turned-partner Felix is snarky, biting, and incredibly fun to read.

Sun Bang, CEO of Contents First, emphasized the importance of meeting evolving fan expectations. “The BL webtoon landscape is transforming as fans demand richer, more immersive storytelling experiences,” Bang said. “We’re excited to introduce a distinctive series that not only delivers compelling storytelling but also expands across multiple touchpoints, from digital content to physical merchandise, for the passionate BL fans.”

Bullet Time’s official synopsis:

Helltham is a crime-ridden city ruled by the Golden Bite Family, whose boss dies in a mysterious accident. When Seven, the family’s degenerate third-in-command, is named as a promising candidate for the next boss, he plans to use his power to live it up even more. However, he gets stabbed in the back by his long-time partner, Felix, who turns out to be a spy working with the city’s only law enforcement agency. Felix then offers him two choices at gunpoint: either work with him to take down the Golden Bite Family or sleep with the fishes.

In addition to its weekly episodes, Bullet Time will debut a music video later this year and drop character-inspired merchandise in September through Tappytoon’s global merch shop, Club JEM.
