LORD OF MYSTERIES donghua confirms June 2025 global broadcast

Lord of Mysteries donghua premieres on June 28.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Lord of Mysteries just dropped the official trailer, revealing more details about the highly anticipated premiere. The donghua will be available on Tencent Video, Crunchyroll, and Muse, with more platforms expected to be announced soon.

The trailer sets the tone beautifully, introducing viewers to the characters, setting, and the eerie, mysterious forces threatening their world. Notably, the trailer doesn’t include any spoken dialogue—except for an English monologue at the end—relying instead on a gradually building soundtrack to draw viewers in.

The donghua will premiere simultaneously in China and globally, with dubs available in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish, and French.

Produced by B.C. May Pictures (The King’s Avatar) and directed by Xiong Ke (Mo Dao Zu Shi), Lord of Mysteries is planned to span five seasons, with each episode running approximately 30 minutes. The first episode, which adapts the first 14 chapters of the novel, was previously screened in August 2024.

Written by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving, the original novel spans 1,394 chapters across eight volumes and was originally published on Qidian, a Chinese web novel platform. The English edition’s page count has recently been updated to 580 pages (from the previously listed 612 pages). A manhua adaptation also launched and was re-released earlier this year, in January.

Yen Press’s synopsis is as follows:

Lord of Mysteries is available to read digitally on Webnovel, and Yen Press holds the print license. Volume 1 is now scheduled to release on July 29 (previously June 10).
