Studio DCCENT released the trailer for Season 3 on YouTube, offering a glimpse into the life Inés once lived, including the heartbreaking tragedy of watching someone she loves get killed. In the trailer, Carcel questions her motives, wondering, “Did you choose me to be your husband because I was easier to throw away than the crown prince? If that’s true, then you never should have chosen a man like me.”
Carcel later confronts Emiliano, asking, “Do you remember me? Do you remember the moment you last died?”
Season 2 concluded on January 23, 2025, with Episode 96 on Kakao. English readers will have to wait a little longer, as translation and editing for the third season are still underway.
Based on the original novel by CHACHA KIM, the webcomic adaptation is written by CHOKAM and illustrated by Cheong-gwa. The story follows Inés Valeztena, who boldly chose Cárcel Escalante—cousin to the crown prince—as her fiancé when she was just six years old. In rebellion, Cárcel grows into a notorious playboy, hoping to provoke Inés. To his surprise, she not only accepts his behavior but encourages it, even after marriage. Cárcel, unhappy with her indifference, vows to become the kind of man she could genuinely fall for… even if it means disrupting her carefully laid plans.
The Broken Ring returns with Season 3 on June 19 on Korean platforms. A release date for the English version on Tappytoon has yet to be announced. Inklore will publish the print edition on October 21.
