Everyone, we’ve found our Kim Dokja—and narrator—for the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint audiobook.
Ize Press, the imprint behind the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint webcomic and original webnovel, has announced that Eric Yang will narrate the upcoming audiobook adaptation. The first volume will run approximately seven hours.
Based in New York City, Yang has performed across stage, screen, and interactive media, including video games and audiobooks. His acting credits include roles in FBI: Most Wanted and Birth/Rebirth. He has voiced Wan in the video game Live A Live, the General in Stronghold: Warlords, and Chou in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Yang also provided the English voice of Manager Huh in the Korean film Seobok.
Written by the duo singNsong, Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint follows Kim Dokja, a seemingly average office worker whose only hobby is reading the webnovel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse—a story he alone has followed for the past 10 years (yes, loser behavior, we know). But that obsession pays off when he finishes the novel, only for his world to collapse and fiction to become reality. Suddenly, Kim Dokja is the only person who knows how to survive.
Thanks to its massive popularity, ORV has inspired multiple adaptations, including an upcoming anime, a live-action film starring Ahn Hyoseop and Lee Minho as Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk, respectively, and a webcomic with over 478 million views on WEBTOON. The original webnovel is also available to read on WebNovel.
The audiobook will be available on Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Google Play, Audible, Book Walker Global, and Libro.fm. Priced at $25.98 USD / $32.98 CAD, the Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint audiobook launches on July 22, the same day as the print edition.
