In a heartfelt moment during a live broadcast on June 6, 2025, KATSEYE’s Megan proudly came out as bisexual. According to YANI GL, the singer shared, “I want to come out. I’m bisexual,” marking a powerful statement during Pride Month.
Megan is now the second member of KATSEYE to come out this year. Earlier, her bandmate Lara revealed her identity in a candid Weverse post, writing, “I knew I was half fruitcake when I was like 8, so I really was wanting everybody. Honestly, probably before 8. Isn’t half fruitcake such a good way to explain it without saying it?”

KATSEYE, a six-member global girl group formed through a partnership between HYBE and Geffen Records, debuted in June 2024. The group includes Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae, representing a diverse mix of nationalities including the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States. The group’s most recent album, Beautiful Chaos, is set for release on vinyl and CD on June 27.
Megan joins a growing number of openly LGBTQ+ figures in the K-Pop community, alongside her groupmate Lara, queer idol Holland, and Mercury’s Hanbit, who underwent gender confirmation surgery in 2006.
