BLACKPINK‘s Lisa to star in upcoming documentary from Sony Music Vision and director Sue Kim.

According to Variety, Lalisa Manobal, who released her solo album ALTER EGO earlier this year along with Lalisa Comics and its debut title ALTER-EGO: The Official Comic, will star in a new documentary film produced by Sony Music Vision and directed by Sue Kim.

Kim shared that she spent the past year working closely with the BLACKPINK icon on the project, which currently has no confirmed release date. Her previous work includes the acclaimed documentary The Last of the Sea Women, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last fall. She also served as executive producer on Apple TV+’s docuseries K-Pop Idols.

In a statement, Lisa said, “This has been such an incredible year, and I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to capture these special moments on film and share the experience with my fans. Working with Sue Kim has been such a joy. We’ve been all around the world together, and I know this is just the beginning of many more exciting things to come.”

BLINKs and Lilies can expect the film to feature Lisa’s solo performances, behind-the-scenes moments with her family, and even heartfelt scenes like reconnecting with a childhood friend, whom she personally reached out to for the project, underscoring her warmth and humility.

Tremolo Productions is producing the film in association with Salt Water Productions and Lisa’s own company, LLOUD CO.
