Pocket Comics has quietly removed the danmei manhua Sui Yu Tou Zhu, also known as Crushing Jade and Casting Pearls, from its lineup.
Trying to access the comic on Pocket Comics now leads to a pop-up that reads: Sales have been suspended for this content.
There is no further information as to why the comic has been removed from the platform, nor has there been any public communication from the publisher.
Written by Beinan with Chief Editor Shen Se Jichui, the manhua adaptation features a screenplay by Chun Yang, art production by Boyi Comics, and editing by Dou Hua. The series is based on a novel originally published on JJWXC.
The story follows Ding Hanbai, a haughty young master, who begins working at a centuries-old jade-carving shop. There, he bullies the timid Ji Zhenzhu, a gentle soul brought into their family after his father passes away. Not expecting that someone from Jiangnan could break down his defenses, Ding Hanbai slowly begins to change. Their mutual admiration deepens into a special affection, leading the two to take one heartfelt step at a time toward a lifetime together.
At this time, Pocket Comics has not released any official statement on the removal of Sui Yu Tou Zhu from their service. The comic is, however, still currently available to read on INKR, another digital comics platform that hosts a variety of manhua and manhwa.
