Titan Manga has announced the upcoming English-language release of Unemployed Killers Support Group Vol. 1, a razor-sharp, noir-inspired manhua by Taiwanese creator Rio, arriving in stores on February 3, 2026.
Originally shortlisted at the 2023 Angoulême International Comics Festival, Unemployed Killers Support Group is a darkly hilarious, blood-splattered story about former assassins grappling with life after death—of their careers, that is. With stylish black-and-white artwork, biting humor, and deeply twisted characters, Rio crafts a crime drama full of emotional wreckage and unexpected camaraderie.

The story follows Locker Loyed, a former sniper who loses his vision, and his job, after a mission gone wrong. Adrift and haunted by the past, he joins a support group for washed-up killers, each trying (and often failing) to rebuild their lives. Among them is Gloria Maze, a meticulous assassin whose career fell apart after she murdered her husband’s mistress in a jealous rage; Jerry Cole, a former lawyer who became an executioner after losing faith in the justice system; and Jordi Joe, a delusional con man who’s never actually killed anyone but insists he belongs in the group.
As the unlikely crew tries to navigate post-assassin life, Locker realizes his past isn’t finished with him. The figure responsible for his blindness—and the death of a close friend—is still out there, and revenge may be the only path forward.
Perfect for fans of Reservoir Dogs, crime thrillers, and dysfunctional found families, Unemployed Killers Support Group is a brutally offbeat ride through redemption, trauma, and the messy aftermath of violence.
The manhua will hit shelves on February 3, 2026, with 256 black-and-white pages and a retail price of $12.99 USD. Pre-orders are currently open through Forbidden Planet and Barnes and Noble.
