K-Pop girl group EVERGLOW is parting ways with Yuehua Entertainment after six years. In a statement posted by Yuehua and reshared by fan accounts like @/fansdramaw, the agency confirmed that the group’s exclusive contract will be terminated as of June 2025.

“After careful discussion, we and EVERGLOW agreed to support each other’s future and walk their own way,” the statement reads. “I sincerely support the new beginning of EVERGLOW, which has been together for a long time and shared many memories.”

Shortly after the statement circulated, leader Sihyeon reassured fans via livestream that although they are leaving the company, EVERGLOW will remain together as a group.

The announcement comes on the heels of controversy surrounding the group’s treatment under Yuehua. In March 2025, member Yiren revealed on the Bubble app that EVERGLOW has not received a single paycheck since their debut in 2019. The comment, made during a conversation about the group’s sixth anniversary, sparked outrage online. Fans, shocked that a group with millions of views and international success had allegedly never been paid, accused the company of exploitation.

Yuehua CEO Du Hua later responded to the claims, stating that the group’s revenue had yet to cover the agency’s investment.

“The company invested a relatively large sum of money, so that money hasn’t been returned yet,” she said.

EVERGLOW debuted in 2019 with six members—E.U., Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren—and quickly rose to prominence, earning the title “Monster Rookies” and releasing hits like “DUN DUN,” “Adios,” and “La Di Da,” the latter of which was named Billboard’s Best K-Pop Song of 2020.
