Seven Seas reveals rambunctious final cover of RIVERBAY ROAD MEN’S DORMITORY

Riverbay Road Men’s Dormitory, the story of a villa filled with proud gay men, is coming to a close.

Seven Seas Entertainment has unveiled the cover of the second and final volume of Riverbay Road Men’s Dormitory, which shows five of the characters crammed (quite comfortably) into a red convertible, despite the mountain of suitcases packed in with them, while two others ride alongside on a light turquoise scooter. Tamtam illustrated both the cover and the interior art.

Written by Arise Zhang, also known as Fei Tian Ye Xiang, the first volume of this series launched on April 15, 2025. It is one of six Arise Zhang novels licensed by Seven Seas. XiA translated the series into English.

Five’s Company

The synopsis of Vol. 2 reads as follows:

Zhang Yuwen’s luxury villa has become a haven for his found family of out-and-proud gay men. Yet, while his personal life may be thriving, Zhang Yuwen’s writing career is stuck in limbo, with his novel facing rejection after painful rejection.

To make matters worse, Zhang Yuwen is keeping a secret from his new boyfriend, Huo Sichen—yet he’s not the only one with something to hide. His characters feel fake and two-dimensional. Two-dimensional?! These are fictional characters, Editor! Still, Zhang Yuwen returns to his massive villa, despondent—until inspiration strikes. With so many rooms in the house, why not rent them out to other gay men and use them as character inspiration? It’s the perfect solution—he’ll be killing two birds with one stone. The only problem? He forgot that putting five wildly different men under one roof is a recipe for chaos.
