THRICE MARRIED TO A SALTED FISH crushes hearts with Vol. 1 cover

Seven Seas Entertainment breaks fans’ hearts with the debut volume of Thrice Married to a Salted Fish.

Set in winter, the cover art shows main characters Lin Qingyu and Lu Wancheng, who sits in a wheelchair, gazing at each other. On the back, a red umbrella lies quietly in the snow. For fans unfamiliar with the novel, the scene may seem innocuous. But those who have read it are already in tears months before the November release. Mio painted the stunning cover in watercolor, and while Seven Seas has yet to reveal Mulliga K.’s interior art, it’s sure to leave a strong impression.

Written by Bi Ka Bi, Thrice Married to a Salted Fish sports a curious title—because what exactly is a “salted fish”? In slang, “咸鱼” (xiányú) refers to someone lazy or unmotivated, likened to a salted fish or even a corpse. Mimi, Huayu, and Eli provide the English translation. The series will span four volumes, with Volume 1 offering a special edition.

Priced at $29.99 USD / $39.99 CAD—about $10 more than the standard version—the special edition includes five postcards, a poster, a bookmark, and a sticker sheet featuring exclusive artwork.

The danmei novel has already inspired a two-season audio drama, available on MissEvan.

The synopsis is as follows:
