Link Click fans won’t have to wait long—Season 3 is officially set to premiere in 2026.
In a new video celebrating the Link Click mobile game, the series teased a sneak peek of its upcoming third season. The clip opens on a corkboard covered in articles and photos featuring key figures from the first two seasons and the recent “Bridon Arc.” A narrator begins speaking in English over the phone before switching to Chinese, remarking that the call must have been important to interrupt their vacation. Viewers are then introduced to a new character: a 27-year-old man named Jae Lee (voiced by 陈张太康), who, despite complaining about his vacation ending, expresses interest in the mysterious city of Guidu.
Written and directed by Li Haoling—who is currently earning praise for his original donghua To Be Hero X—Link Click made history as the first donghua to stream on Funimation. The first season, consisting of 12 episodes, aired from April 30 to July 9, 2021. Season 2 premiered on July 14, 2023, and concluded on September 22, 2023. A six-episode prequel, the Bridon Arc, followed soon after, airing from December 27, 2024, to January 31, 2025. Studio LAN produced the animation, with support from Haoliners Animation League.
Link Click follows two close friends, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, who run a photo studio alongside their landlady and partner, Qiao Ling. With a simple high five, Cheng Xiaoshi can travel through time by entering a photograph and possessing the body of its photographer. Lu Guang, meanwhile, can see everything that occurred within 12 hours of the photo being taken and guides Cheng from the present. As they take on jobs to help others, the duo uncovers a much larger and more sinister mystery behind the scenes.
The series has also received a live-action adaptation starring Jiang Long as Cheng Xiaoshi and Bi Wenjun as Lu Guang. The live-action version is available to stream on Bilibili and YouTube.
