WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. and award-winning comic publisher IDW Publishing are expanding their collaboration with the launch of newly reformatted webcomic versions of Sonic the Hedgehog and Locke & Key. Both series debuted exclusively on WEBTOON on April 25.

These two highly anticipated titles join an exciting lineup of IDW series already announced for WEBTOON, including Godzilla: Unnatural Disasters, the Eisner-nominated Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees, and George Takei’s Eisner-winning memoir They Called Us Enemy.

The Sonic the Hedgehog webcomic will continue the adventures of the beloved Blue Blur after the defeat of Dr. Eggman, as Sonic and his friends—Tails, Knuckles, and Amy—battle rogue robots threatening villages around the world. Meanwhile, Locke & Key delivers Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez‘s acclaimed dark fantasy series, weaving a haunting story of magic, legacy, and family.

The expanded WEBTOON-IDW partnership showcases an impressive range of stories:

  • Godzilla: Unnatural Disasters compiles monster-filled tales from Legends, In Hell, and Rage Across Time.

  • Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees blends cozy small-town charm with serial killer suspense, featuring an unexpected protagonist: an adorable brown bear named Samantha Strong.

  • They Called Us Enemy captures George Takei’s powerful memoir of his childhood in Japanese American internment camps during World War II.

All five series are available to read exclusively on WEBTOON as of April 25.
