Independent BL retailer Yiggybean has reached out to its followers for help after being hit with an unexpectedly high tariff.
In a post shared to its X (formerly Twitter) account on April 22, Yiggybean addressed its community directly:
“This isn’t the blog post we wanted to make, but it’s the one we have to at the moment. Due to the ongoing situation with varying tariffs, we’re asking for your support.”

The shop explained that it had placed a merchandise order before new tariffs went into effect—yet still received a tariff charge of more than 145%. As a small business with a tight-knit team, this unexpected financial burden has left them feeling “frustrated and anxious about the future of imported merch.”

Despite this, Yiggybean has committed not to raise prices on its imported merchandise.
“It is so important to us that our community has access to the things that bring them joy, and we want that to be as affordable and accessible as possible.”
Now more than ever, Yiggybean is asking for support. Fans are encouraged to place an order—big or small—to help offset the sudden costs.
Yiggybean specializes in BL merchandise and manga, including books from major publishers like Seven Seas Entertainment. The shop also serves as the exclusive U.S. partner for international publishers like Rosmei, Via Lactea, and Hai Tang Books, offering readers access to hard-to-find BL titles and goods.
