Previously available only on Wavve, Weak Hero Class 1 will officially stream on Netflix starting March 25. The gripping drama has earned widespread praise for its storytelling, intense action, and stellar performances. Directed by Yoo Soomin and Park Danhee, with a screenplay by Yoo and Kim Jin-seok, this coming-of-age series follows Yeon Sieun, a top student whose quiet life shatters when school bully Jeon Yeonbin (Kim Sugyeom) targets him. Although Sieun lacks physical strength, his intelligence allows him to outmaneuver his bullies at times. With the support of Ahn Suho (Choi Hyunwook), the class’s strongest student, and Oh Beomseok (Hong Kyung), the timid son of an assemblyman, Sieun begins to find his place—until everything crumbles.
Weak Hero Class 1 adapts the hit webtoon by Seopass and illustrator RAZEN, which has amassed nearly 240 million views on the WEBTOON English platform. The webtoon debuted on September 9, 2019, and wrapped up on November 29, 2023, after 267 episodes.
Season 2, titled Weak Hero Class 2, will debut on Netflix in the second quarter of 2025, introducing new cast members: Ryeoun as Park Hu-min, Choi Minyoung as Seo Jun-tae, Lee Minjae as Go Hyun-tak, and Bae Nara as Na Baekjin.
