Seven Seas wins fans’ hearts with LOST IN THE CLOUD license

Seven Seas has done it again—licensing Lost in the Cloud, a BL series that fans have been begging for and flooding their license request form with.

During their weekly Wonderful Wednesdays licensing announcements on February 26, the publisher revealed their first license of the week, and it immediately overshadowed the rest (racking up over two thousand retweets and 4.6 thousand likes): Lost in the Cloud. Fans flooded the announcement post, thanking the publisher for finally bringing an official English release of the beloved series.

Written and illustrated by Paskim, Lost in the Cloud follows Skylar and Cirrus in a high school BL drama filled with psychological tension. When Skylar’s secret hobby—taking photos of his crush Chan-il—gets exposed, it’s not Chan-il who finds out, but his best friend Cirrus. After discovering the stash of photos in Skylar’s cloud, Cirrus uses them as blackmail, entangling the two in a complicated and inescapable web.

Readers have praised the series for Paskim’s expressive artwork, particularly the colors, shading, lighting, and character expressions. Many have also applauded the thoughtful character backstories, the protagonists’ development, and the slow-burn transformation of their relationship from enemies to lovers.

Originally launched on Lezhin on March 17, 2021, Lost in the Cloud recently concluded its main story at 130 chapters and released a special episode on February 28. As of this article’s publication, the series is on sale, with 38 episodes available at a discounted price for a limited time.

Part of Seven Seas’ Webtoon label, the first volume of Lost in the Cloud will be printed in full color with a large trim and released in September 2025. Vol. 1 is priced at $21.99 USD and $28.99 CAD.
