Seven Seas licenses two manhwas and special edition danmei

Seven Seas had some surprises in store for manhwa readers.

As part of their weekly Wonderful Wednesday license announcements, the publisher kicked things off with a steamy romance manhwa that will melt the snow away and a BL manhwa with some rather unhinged characters. Seven Seas updated fans on a previously announced danmei (Chinese boys’ love genre) license.

Winter Wolf

Oh no, a snowstorm forces two bickering strangers to seek shelter in an abandoned mansion. Whatever will they do?

Rubyche‘s original novel has been brought to life as a webcomic, with stunning illustrations by soonmu and a gripping adaptation by cheong yong. Winter Wolf follows noblewoman Lysithea Hilenaire Del Arman, who enlists the help of broker Taron Cardis to flee after a revolt wipes out her family. But when a snowstorm hits, the two are forced to take refuge in a creepy, abandoned mansion. What happens next? Will their endless bickering continue, or will their fiery clashes spark something more… romantic?

Winter Wolf releases in September 2025 with the first volume, priced at $21.99 USD and $28.99 CAN. The webcomic can be read digitally on Manta.

Boss, Bxtch, Baby

Written and illustrated by Dacto, Boss, Bxtch, Baby is a BL manhwa centered on Hojin, a man caught between two impossible choices: becoming the target of a loan shark gang or spending a year as the boy-toy of a corporate heir. Hojin chooses the latter, only to discover that his former one-night stand, Yooseong, is as unhinged as they come. However, beneath Yooseong’s chaotic exterior, Hojin finds a lonely secret waiting to be uncovered.

Boss, Bxtch, Baby releases in December 2025, and the first volume will be priced at $22.99 USD and $29.99 CAN. The webcomic can be read on Tappytoon.

Joyful Reunion

As part of Seven Seas’ pivot to releasing special editions for their first danmei volumes, Joyful Reunion will be available in both regular and special editions. The special edition will include exclusive items: a double-sided bookmark, a paper folding screen, a shikishi board, and a sticker sheet featuring new artwork. While the regular edition is priced at $19.99, the special edition will cost $29.99 USD.

In Joyful Reunion, Duan Ling, abandoned as an infant, endures life in an abusive adoptive family. His fortunes shift when Lang Junxia, a stranger claiming to be sent by his father, arrives to take him away. Unbeknownst to Duan Ling, this marks the beginning of his journey into a complex world of power and politics he has never known.
