You’ve never met a trauma surgeon like Baek Gang-hyeok before. Sure, his methods may be…unorthodox, but if it saves lives, then who cares?
The webtoon Trauma Center: Golden Hour released its live-action adaptation trailer which has been renamed to The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. The trailer highlights Baek Gang-hyeok, a genius trauma surgeon, who is rumored to be able to save anyone even when things look dire. He’s a bit short-tempered, but when it comes to his job, he’s all business and dead serious about saving his patients to the best of his abilities–and remember, he’s a genius.
Ju Ji-hoon (Kingdom, Mask, Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds) stars as Baek Gang-hyeok and Choo Young-woo plays Yang Jae-won who unfortunately becomes Gang-hyeok’s first disciple and has to figure out how to work with a rather eccentric trauma professor. Ha Young portrays Cheon Jang-mi, a senior nurse who has worked with the trauma team for five years. Yoon Kyung Ho plays Han Yoo Rim, the head of the colorectal surgery department, and Jung Jae Kwang portrays anesthesiologist Park Kyung-won.
Lee Do-yoon will direct the series with Choi Tae-kang adapting the screenplay. Studio N and Mays Entertainment collaborate to produce the series.
